Mary Louise Chown

mlcMary Louise has performed at festivals across Canada from Vancouver to Halifax, including the Winnipeg Folk Festival. She has travelled extensively in rural and northern Manitoba with the Manitoba Arts Council’s Artist-in-the Schools program. She recently was chosen Storyteller-in-Residence at the Winnipeg Public Library. She has training in mediation and conflict resolution, as well as many years experience as a public school teacher. Mary Louise plays hammered dulcimer and percussion with “The Fine Companions” folk music band. She is also a trained shamanic practitioner.
